It looks sooo elegant... wooowww. I love the choice of color.
Oh Ru ... that is so lovely! You've made it wondrous, dear. Wow! :)
oh man Barb...that is beautiful. Looks smoothery yanno. One day I gotta learn how to make them pillow beads.
omg I love that! There just aren't enough danglies in the world. :)
It's gorgeous dahlink! *G*
Thank you ladies all :o)I've been wearing it all day...I don't wear much jewelry, so it's always a challenge to make something I'd like to wear. It's not bad...*g*Hey Kath...didn't Sarah make some pillow beads with you guys? I got alot out of watching her make one.
Hi Barb! Your new beads are fab! I do a lot of bead embroidery, and I was wondering if you do any flatbacks or cabochons. I was thinking that a 25cm and two next size down and three next size down would be perfect for a necklace and clasp. Also do silversmithing and those would look great bezel set. Your beads are always the best!
I should have told you that "Bert" is for Roberta Mc.... from Phoenix. The Tucson bead shows had so much awesome polymer clay. Mention to Alice that when I was as sleepy I was coming down with fibromyalgia & slept 20 hours a day for weeks until it started to let up. That and fuzzy vision were my first symptoms.
Oh Wow, I love the black ribbon instead of a chain, Krista xx
Hi Roberta! So happy to see you here! You know, I got invited to a show in Tucson, called "To Bead True Blue." Guess how much they wanted to charge me for a table? 1000 freaking dollars!! I'm a starving artist, for heaven's sake! Hmmm...cabs huh? Are you interested? *g* I'll tell Alice what you said about FM...thanks for the kind words darlin :o)
Thanks Krista! Welcome...don't be shy...keep posting! Hey everyone Krista is from Cyprus...my geography is bad Krista. This is near or in Germany? I'm sorry, I feel like a dork :o)Anyway, Krista makes beyootiful jewelry. I need to post on your blog...you and your husband should be models too! Wow, you're all gorgeous :o)
Nope....we didn't make pillow beads...I don't think. at least not in that name. I was too busy playing photgrapher to remember. I think I ahve it figured out though. it is with the edges together and shaving the lip method yes?
yes Kath, that's the way...I actually shape the pillow scrap first, lots of beveling the sides and pinching the corners...then apply the slices, then pinch all the edges and shave. I also use a puffinwand to smooth and shape. Do you want me to take any pics next time I do one?
yes plz. pictures next time. I did get some of Sarah doing it but wasn't really paying attention. sheesh, pretty bad for the one taking thepiccies *g*um...Cyprus is by Greece I think....down south of Germany on the Med Sea.
I think when Krista bought some beads from me, the address was in Germany or the UK. I think you're right tho...dang, my memory is barely there ;o)kay, will take pics of the next pillow bead steps for ya.
Have I mentioned lately that I wuvs you? *smooch* thanks :)btw...Klew was at To Bead True Blue. Dayam, had no clue..er klew...er clue the tables were so freaking expensive. but I understand you can make that back and more. getting started is problem. I sure don't ahve that chunk of change to start with.
well, that's what they told me...but I think Cheryl (easy now ;o) said she and Christi shared a $500 table. It would be difficult, but not impossible to come up with the bucks...but since I really didn't know anything about it when I mentioned it to DH, I just passed...and coming up with enough inventory would be another problem.I'm thinking about doing a show in the park across the street from Old Town and the museums here in "burque." It will be in April for the city's 300th BD...parades, etc also. I don't even know if I can come up with enough stuff for that!Smoochies back!
Lol Yep cyprus is right, hubbys in the forces so we r on a british airforce base out here RAF Akrotiri, dunno about being near Germany lol its near Turkey and Eyjpt we got some Americans out here to though, so theres a couple of American bars on the camp next to there quarters, my friends the manager of one of the american bars, so I go there quite a lot.Only 18 months left then I can go back to the UK I cant wait lol.Anyway iv been looking at using ribbon for a while and now u have inspired me to give it a go, I love the way that looks :0)
I've been wearing this for a few days which is unusual for me. I think the ribbon is very comfortable. I have one in a pale lavender color and I made a bead to go with it. I'll show it to you in the next few days :o)
