Fragile egos...
I think it would be safe to say that most artists have very fragile egos...one day we might think we are doing great work and the next, we might say to ourselves that we're just lucky or that something pretty that we've made is just a fluke...or that we're trying too hard, or any number of things go through our heads making us doubt ourselves. After my last bead set that I worked on way too much and finally sort of ruined by adding too many layers of paint, I finally got back to some clay after a few days of feeling less than good about my work. Something made me pull out my pearlex and perfect pearls...these are what came out. Whew, I feel better today :o)

You are so right about the artist feelings!
Your latest flower sets are incredible beautiful!
You do the perfect beauty! I have tried to make something similar to your previous beads! I very much like your work, I study on your works!
Here I have made such complete set for myself: http://keep4u.ru/full/070116/181db561125f9432cb/jpg
I finally got around to subscribing to your blog, Barbara. I've been meaning to but just hadn't gotten it far enough up the to-do list. I'm glad I did, though - your post resonates with me and expresses just what I'm feeling! Thanks for writing it!
hugs,
Cat

ego suck. they can so deflate one can't they? As I have been told...we are always hardest on ourselves. so true.
