My dad's art and new studio layout

I've needed to be in this corner...seeing outdoors. I've also needed to feel my dad's influence around me. Here is what my space looks like now, and here a couple of pieces of his. One is framed the other two are not. He also gave me that tiny little stained glass lamp...a cheapy made in China. He loved shopping out of those catalogs at Christmas time :o)

I love your dad's work!!! The colors are just amazing and there seems to be light coming through! Your new arrangement looks great. I've been thinking of moving my worktable to the window too. I'm so envious of your floors. I have carpeting and really need to get it out of there.

Barbara, Love the way you have your Dad's works right with you, and what inspiration they must bring to you.... I don't think that we are ever ready to loose a parent, (my dad passed away this past November... The heart heals slowly...) My dad was passionate about the beach... sharks teeth, and Jack Daniels!! LOL!! Love the works you been creating lately... love all the wonderful colors! (must be something that inspires you.... seeing his work and how colorful it is, I am sure that he passed that passion of color on to you!!) Keep it up Barbara!! Can not wait to see more!

Aw you guys make me smile and choke up a little bit. He was into "pointillism" the last few months before he passed away. Need to get a few of those to put up too. Love tiny dots :o)

Thanks so much for the cyber hugs from everyone and the sweet, sweet thoughts. You all know just what I need to hear...

Barb, your father's artwork is just incredibly beautiful. What a wonderful sense of color he had. I especially love the one on the bottoom with the circles. I'm so glad you have these pieces to keep with you and so jealous of your beautiful, clean work area. He must be smiling down on you right now.
