Coloring Mandalas...

I bought this book last summer thinking it would be fun to color these when I was sitting around in front of the TV. I decided to shade each part, thinking how they would look as skinner blends. I really loved it before I added the black center and the black and yellow rings. But I still like it, I think it was a great color exercise. I've got a book full of 'em so watch for more!

what a great book! the blends you did are great Barb. I can see it in a cane myself. Can't wait to see your next one!

You sure got my eyes popping Barb. I love mandalas and I love lotus blossoms and I love colour...so you couldn't go wrong! You've done a great job with the colours, bright and yet softened beautifully with the shading. I agree, better without the black.
Hey, these would make gorgeous transfers on clay!
Love your new look heading on the blog too!
Nice start to the new year!

I can totally see these as on polymer clay, either transferred or as a cane. Your colours and shadings are like a variegated rainbow... AWESOME! Am looking forward to seeing more.
